In a virtual presentation to the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) in August 2022, this panel addressed the statutory and bureaucratic restrictions that inhibit reentry and reintegration, such as barriers to voting, health care access, and licensing. Featured panelists discussed the pivotal role that non-monetary measures can play in tackling the barriers of reentry and reintegration for people on probation and parole. They also provided examples of what has worked across different jurisdictions to illustrate the importance of providing a continuum of services, including health care, mental health care, access to ID cards, and the restoration of voting rights to people under supervision.
