Helen Ho is a Staff Associate on the Oklahoma Legal Debt Study at the Justice Lab, and a PhD candidate in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. She is working with Professor Bruce Western on a field experiment of criminal justice fines and fees. Her research interests include inequality and social policy, the criminal justice system, and labor economics. Before starting her PhD program, she was a research associate at the Urban Institute and a research assistant at the National Bureau of Economic Research, where she worked on field experiments of education and training programs, policy research on homelessness, and quantitative analysis of crime trends. Helen holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University.
